The typical office workplace is still clearly defined, but as digital development progresses, a rethink is increasingly taking place. A new generation of entrepreneurs is focusing on flexibility and the ability to get things done online.

A room in the company building, with its own desk, chair, filing cabinet, telephone and PC - this is still how we imagine a classic office today. However, this traditional working environment is increasingly being replaced by individual and variable alternatives. In the age of work-life balance, simple and affordable solutions that leave room for personal needs are in demand: Those who work from home no longer have to commute to the company's location, coworking spaces cost little because the workplace is shared, and digital nomads run their business from anywhere in the world.

Doing business online

The prerequisites for this are created by digital networking and inexpensive and increasingly widespread access to the World Wide Web. Research can easily be carried out online, orders are placed via corresponding portals and websites and communication takes place via email or voice over IP. Everything can be done quickly and easily using a laptop or smartphone. And since you don't need a traditional office infrastructure, this ultimately saves a lot of money.

Work remotely - start up online

Founders with little start-up capital in particular are taking advantage of these opportunities and are increasingly working from anywhere and from a laptop. The digital possibilities are not just limited to day-to-day business; more and more applications and forms are also available as web forms. It is now even possible to set up some forms of company, such as a GmbH or UG, online. And even a trip to the bank branch is no longer mandatory in all situations: some banks not only offer online banking, but also allow you to open the business account required for your company online.

Conclusion: Anyone who doesn't like making appointments away from home can now do many things from the comfort of their laptop and even set up companies online.
